Heidi has been at the forefront of emerging tech for over 20 years, and an early builder of Alexa experiences as a developer, conversation designer and business leader launching voice experiences focused on serving the older adult demographic since 2015. Heidi is a highly sought-after advisor and speaker on Aging & Voice AI, and has received multiple honors including: Voice AI Pioneer at Project Voice; Alexa Champion recognition; AARP Innovation@50 finalist; Top Influencer and Top 17 Leader in Product & Design by Voicebot.ai; the 2022 Voice Industry VIP award at VOICE22; and recognition in the Class of 2023 Women Leaders in Conversational AI.
Heidi recently decided to return to the startup world and is currently working on the launch of her second Aging and Voice AI startup. Heidi moves on from Amazon where she has been leading business development and strategic partnerships for Alexa Aging & Independence solutions. While at Amazon, Heidi also developed the Amazon Alexa Skills Challenge: Aging and Engaging, a contest for skill builders to build Alexa experiences to meet the aspirations of those age 55 and older.
Prior to Amazon, Heidi founded the successful AgeTech startup, Marvee, bringing Alexa Skill experiences to older adults, and pioneering voice AI as an important modality to meet the massive demographic shift as we all live longer, healthier and more active lives.
Previous to her work in the voice industry, Heidi spent the previous 20 years at the forefront of the wireless, enterprise mobile application, and the internet of things leading cross-functional teams within ground floor startups, growth-stage companies and Fortune 100 companies.
